Oh summer, it’s the perfect time to curl up in a hammock with a great book. And one that we really enjoyed was The Help by first time novelist Kathryn Stockett. Set in the early ’60s, it follows the lives of three women – two black maids and a well to do employer’s daughter. You’ll become wrapped in their lives and as you read, start to cast a movie version.
A book we love…

The Heretic’s Daughter
I am reading and loving this first novel by Kathleen Kent. Could it be because Marlborough’s own Vi Schwarzman had a hand in this just published novel? Vi helped the author with her research on the Carrier Family. The story is grippingly told by ten year old Sarah Carrier, about her family in 17th century in Andover, Massachusetts who are
accused of witchcraft.
