The RML Friends Used Book Sale, Summer edition, will be held Saturday, June 13 from 9 Am to 1 PM at the library, 15 School Drive, Marlborough, CT. Rain or shine! We will accept bulk donations beginning May 4. Please remember, items must be in saleable, good condition, no mold or mildew. We do not accept text books (no matter how much you paid for them when you were a poor college student) or Reader’s Digest Condensed Books.

The Friends Fall book sale will be Saturday, September 20 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Donations for the sale will be accepted through September 16. Remember – items must be in good condition. No text books, Condensed books or mold/mildew books.
Book Club Open House
Are you a book club member or thinking of joining one? Come to our open house for book clubs on February 26 at 7 PM. Learn about other clubs and how they are organized (or not), share books and refreshments too. NOTE – NEW DATE DUE TO WEATHER!
RML Friends Holiday Events
The Friends are participating in a special shopping night for area charities at the Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester. Buy your ticket for only $5.00 at the Richmond Memorial Library to gain admittance to the Sunday, November 18 Festival of Giving from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. With your ticket you get an evening of private shopping, special sales, free gift wrap, holiday music and entertainment. Plus, there will be special door prizes throughout the night. Best of all, 100% of your $5.00 ticket cost goes directly to support the library. Tickets are available at the library’s main circulation desk during regular hours.
The RML Friends are also hosting a local holiday shopping night at the Red Door Boutique at 73 North Main Street in East Hampton. The Friends will provide refreshments from 5:30 to 8 PM on Monday, December 3 and the Red Door will donate 10% of all sales that evening to support the library. Come join the fun and shop for a great local cause.

We’re just wild about Harry…
Harry Potter night was held at the library to celebrate the launch of the final book on July 21. A great time was had by all with lots of Harry Potter cake, Butterbeer, games and fun.
At the stroke of midnight, Miss Eileen began reading Chapter 1.
